Summer was over in a blink of an eye. I personally was busy with weekends full of car shows, thrifting and traveling out of town to visit family.
We enjoyed the new gazebo in the back yard. It was definitely a great purchase for the daycare. The weather was very hot it provided us with shade. The heat and humidity kept us indoors more than usual. We will be enjoying the cooler weather as long as possible.
Our months were full of crafts and celebrating birthdays. I love designing parties!
I have a great group of daycare families. Parents have been asking for advice about ideas for what works for sleep and behaviors that are happening at home. Routine is the best thing for children. It starts with a good nighttime routine and then mornings are better too.
The new lunch table has been working out great, encouraging conversation while eating and helping my not so good eaters try new food. Activities at the table are also going better. Managing a child that is left-handed and 3 preschool boys that need their space to spread out and learn. Preschool two days a week is game based this year and sensory bins around learning colors, numbers and letters.
Music outside is a hit and great for burning off some energy. The kids love the gutter ramps for their cars and balls. The sandbox and bubbles are still a few of their favorites. I recently thrifted a baby bathe tub and basinet, my plan was to repurpose them to help my baby with sitting up and playing.
Potty training will begin in October I have several that will be ready, their parents are working on a morning and nighttime routine at home. I have a Potty Training Policy with some great tips that have helped parents start at home this reinforces how well it goes at daycare.
I'm not excited to be stuck inside this winter. Planning activities indoors to burn off some energy is on my to do list. Frogs/Red Light-/Green Light/Danny-Go/Singing & Learning songs/ball sorting /magnetic boards
MUST DO AGAIN!
Plan 12 months of crafts/best decision ever
Keep up with paperwork every 4 months
Plan 2 weeks of meals and have groceries delivered to free up more time.
My To Do List!
I'm making a list of gifts for Christmas for the daycare kids. Planning purchases for daycare in 2027 that makes a learning and creative space. Creating a budget for daycare and trying to save for future purchases.
I look forward to planning for 2027!
